Finding a place to go out in Luxembourg is relatively easy. Luxembourg’s small size, good transportation and road network make for a good access to many places of interest, such as bars, clubs, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, museums and other leisure activities.
With its 5173 hectares, the city of Luxembourg offers oasis of greenery made of green spaces, parks and woodlands, an ideal framework for nature lovers.
The large forested areas of the “Bambësch”, “Gréngewald” and “Kockelscheuer” are found around the periphery of the city, while in the Alzette valley, between Grund and Hesperange, the work history of the former textile barons can be explored on foot or by bicycle.
Shopping
Luxury shops, designer boutiques and huge shopping malls… Luxembourg has it all to followers of fashion thanks to friendly pedestrian streets: stroll from shop-to-shop to discover where to buy your favourite brands.
Nightlife
Trendy cafes and fine restaurants flourish in the historic old town, especially around the Grand Ducal Palace. In the Valley, the suburb of Grund and Clausen on the banks of the Alzette, are emerging as “the place to be” for night owls. The atmosphere is more eclectic near central station where there are bars, restaurants and cabarets…
